The first race in the Club's new 2023-2024 race calendar. Ten miles of off road loveliness, including two very big climbs, this tough race has been on the calendar a couple of times before. It has sold out in previous years, but there was a smaller field this year. This is how the 14 Stadium Runners performed: |

Run Leader Rota
The Rota for Apr - Jun is available here.
PLEASE NOTE that the runs on Thu 4th May are from Leeds Road.
We are having issues filling the Gold Leader spot on Mondays when Simon Courtney is running one of his increasingly popular Development sessions. Also many usual Gold runners prefer to attend the Development sessions, so Gold attendance is usually low. So we have taken the decision to cancel the Gold runs when this situation occurs.
We want to stress that the Development sessions are suitable for all Bronze, Silver & Gold runners, it's just that the knock on effects of its popularity are only affecting Gold runs (at the moment).

Marsden Ten
This is a great opportunity to showcase Stadium Runners and build on the two previous successful races
The race date of Sunday 11th June is approaching fast and there are a number of things that we would appreciate some help with.
We have a number of jobs still available, particularly Marshalls, where assistance would be appreciated. John Cottam will have details on club nights or E Mail him at ajaccottam@aol.com if you can help
We currently have 40 entries for the race and are hoping to increase this significantly in the next few weeks. Entry on the day will also be available. We think it is a great event and we will have a unique memento for all our finishers. If you can mention it to friends or take some of the flyers that John will have available on club nights to distribute that would be appreciated.

Membership renewal 2023/24
Dear Members.
From April 1st, 2023, it is the start of the new athletic year and this means that memberships need to be renewed for the next year of running with the club.
The membership fee remains at £35 for another year. £17 pays for the athletes individual UKA affiliation fee, while the remaining £18 goes towards the running of the club.
This year the club has added another benefit, to the club running experience, for paid up Stadium Runners members. From the start of this athletic year, members can now run for free, at the very well attended Runners Development Sessions that are held fortnightly, at the Leeds Road Running track.
I will shortly be sending out, an email to each member via the club membership email with all the information and forms necessary to renew and pay your membership.
For those members who would like to pay their membership by cash/cheque or have any particular queries, I will be attending two club sessions on Mon 17th April and Thursday 20th April from 6.pm to 6.30pm, before the club briefing.
Prompt payment would be greatly appreciated and paid for by the latest date of 30th April 2023, to ensure that you membership continues, and you are able to compete in any future runs as a UKA affiliated Stadium Runner, which you may have entered and paid for.
If you know anyone that would be interested in becoming a paid-up member, please pass on the membership email below, so they can contact to find out more information.
Thank you.

If you are fancying some off road running this summer then the Rockhoppers have two sessions per week, first one on Tuesday evening starting at 6.30 meeting at various pubs, with a 5 mile run then refreshments afterwards at the pub, starting 9th May onwards. On the fourth Tuesday every month we will be doing one hills & speed session.
Then we have the Saturday morning session starting at 9.00 meeting at various coffee shops with a 6 mile run, then refreshments afterwards at the cafe. The pace is a steady silver pace. So please book on if you fancy some brilliant off road running. |
