Get Muddy To Celebrate The New Year

Who's drunk all the Advocaat?

Cross Country League 05/01/14

Good afternoon,

Seasons greetings and all that sort of thing. I hope you've all drunk too much and eaten too much and as such leveled the playing field for me a little. As the dawn of a new year rapidly approaches and many of you will look to make even healthier promises than last year may I suggest that one of your New Years resolutions is to take part in the third race in the West Yorkshire Winter League cross country.

When: Sunday 5th January 10:30am

Where: Skipton. Click here for a location map. Then click here for a map of the course.

How much: It's FREE! The club has paid for any member of Stadium Runners to take part.

Given the time of year and the weather then you will definitely need some trail shoes so that you have a slim chance of staying upright. It's cross country and it's only five-ish miles so it will be fun, filled with good cheer and encouragement from fellow runners and it will probably leave you out of breath but with a great big smile on your face.

Martin Huddleston has suggested meeting at the Stadium at 8:45am for anyone wanting a lift or for those wishing to travel in convoy.

Park Run

If you want to warm up for the run then why not try the New Years day Park Run at Greenhead Park, and to allow your hangover to subside a tiny bit they won't be shouting GO! until the later time of 10:00am.

Now as an extra little pressie here are two fantastic clips I've found on line this first one is more proof that you can have more fun on a road bike than any other mode of transport (how he gets up the Cow & Calf I have no idea) This second clip is proof that it can be very, very funny when you put words in to peoples mouths.

Keep running back and Happy New Year.
