The course is approximately 10 miles.
The multi-terrain route is highly likely to be muddy, slippery and uneven in places. You may feel it more appropriate to wear trail or off-road shoes dependent on conditions.
The course is 80% trail and footpaths. There are road sections at the start and end of the race, and a tough 1.5 mile road climb to the top of Wessenden. These are quiet roads but please be mindful that there may be some traffic. These sections will be well marshalled. Runners are to use footways where possible and follow the marshal's instructions at all times. Our priority is for a safe and enjoyable run for all.
There are limited changing facilities at the venue but no showers.
The Marsden 10 is indeed a challenge and whilst we encourage runners of all abilities, bear in mind that the route is steep in places and has some long uphill sections. There is a long and fast downhill section towards the end which can be tricky.
The minimum age limit is 17 years of age on the day of the race.
We don't have a secure manned luggage facility. Items may be left at race HQ but this at your own risk.
We are sorry but the course is not suitable for wheelchair users.
