A Big Thank You

A few weeks back I asked for donations of “preloved” and unwanted kit to help start up a running club at Lifeline, the charity where I work. Stadium Runners have been fantastic! The generous donations of running kit and trainers of all types and sizes have kept coming in.  You have even donated some completely new items, with tags and in boxes. Yes, truly, BNWT! Amazing! Haven't you lot heard of Ebay? Your generosity doesn't end there as people have even volunteered to help support the group.

Lifeline delivers treatment to people at all stages of recovery from drug and alcohol use. Service users face multiple barriers to getting involved in positive activities like running, and getting access to the right equipment for running is the first hurdle. The hot weather and school holidays has been another barrier

We are re-launching the group this autumn in partnership with another local service who work with former users now completely abstinent - we hope the re-launch will add some new energy into the group.

Meanwhile, the kit is being used by our service users for going to the gym and other activities. So many thanks again for your generosity
